Gotjawal Forest in the local dialect of Jeju Island means ‘forest’ and “intertwining of rocks, trees and bushes”. The meaning bound in the words express the immersive beauty of everything I love about forests, the quiet peacefulness of nature, the overwhelming density of lush growth and detail, and the luminous light seeping its way through the forest .
